To know everything in a few words
Saint Jean d'Arves is a ski resort located in the North of the French Alps. It's directly connected to the first ski area in the Maurienne valley : les Sybelles (310 km of ski slopes). The resort offers panoramic view on the Arves peaks (3514 meters high). Skiing, snowshoeing, paragliding, hiking and quietness are the main assets of Saint Jean d'Arves. Who appreciate large spaces without crew will enjoy his stay. The A 43 highway and the train station in Saint Jean de Maurienne (besides the Lyon, Chambéry, Grenoble and Geneva airports) allow an easy access. During summer time, agriculture is the main aspect : thousands of flowers, cows in the fields with their bell sound in the air. Beaufort cheese is the local speciality.
Off season, the tourist office of Les Chambons is open Monday to Friday, from 9.00 to 12.00am and 2.00 to 5.00pm (closed on public holidays).
During summer and winter seasons, our two offices are open every day.
